OpenHousePal ("we", "us", "our") is the trading name of the business operating this service. For any privacy questions, contact us at support@openhousepal.io. OpenHousePal is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
2. Personal data we collect
- Realtor accounts: name, email, password (hashed), brokerage, photo, logo, URL slug, welcome message.
- Open house visitor sign-ins: name, address, email, phone — collected on behalf of the realtor whose branded page the visitor uses.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, timestamps.
- Support communications: messages you send us.
3. How and why we use data
- Provide and operate the service (contract performance).
- Process payments via our Merchant of Record (contract / legal obligation).
- Customer support (legitimate interests).
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection (legitimate interests).
- Product analytics and improvement (legitimate interests).
- Service-related email (contract); marketing email only with consent.
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, billing, tax, and invoicing.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers used to run the service.
- Email delivery providers for transactional email.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
- Visitor sign-in data is shared with the realtor whose branded page collected it. We do not sell personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep account and sign-in data for as long as the account is active. When an account is closed, data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@openhousepal.io. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure.
8. International transfers
Data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
